As of today, COVID-19 has claimed the lives of over 15,000 people in New Jersey with confirmed positive cases rising.
We have been working tirelessly to reduce the spread however Newark and the surrounding communities continue to be the epicenter COVID-19.
COVID-19 continues to burden the low-income and resource-limited communities with loss of wages, closed schools, individual trauma and food supply shortages.
Due to the need, we hope to fundraise to:
Continue to provide healthcare to children and families.
Improve and increase access to COVID-19 screenings, testing and vaccinations.
Partner with schools and community organizations that support efforts to address community needs.
By contributing to the COVID-19 Relief Fund, you are able to support a larger cause, with a tax-deductible donation. Any donation, big or small, helps us further our goal of helping the people of Newark and its surrounding communities.
For every $100 donation, you will receive a ticket to our virtual gala on October 14, 2021 at 7PM.
The mission of Newark Community Health Centers is to provide affordable, high quality, and accessible healthcare to the communities that we serve. As one of the largest providers of comprehensive primary care services for uninsured and medically underserved populations in one of the country’s most populated areas, our primary goal is to eliminate health disparities and help people live stronger, healthier, and happier lives.
NCHC was founded on October 2, 1986 as a Federally Qualified Health Center to address growing health disparities plaguing underserved populations in the City of Newark. As the population continued to increase in Newark and its surrounding cities, so did the need for access to quality healthcare. To meet this need we expanded our centers and services. Currently, we have 7 centers in Newark, East Orange, Irvington, and Orange that offer a full range of medical and dental services for children, adults, and seniors.
NCHC provides obstetrical and gynecological care, pediatric care, adolescent medicine services, internal medicine, geriatric care, dental care, a comprehensive HIV/Aids program, substance abuse evaluation and referrals, mental health counseling, podiatry, optometry and nutritional counseling. We are committed and dedicated to providing quality health care to our patients during this difficult time. NCHC’s goal is to meet the health care needs of the communities in which we serve and help people live stronger, healthier and happier lives. In 2019, we served 51,609 patients.
All contributions are tax-deductible as provide by law. Please consult your tax advisor for further information. NCHC is a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization, federal tax ID # 22-2747589.
