I have noticed that once you break the silence about mental illness people open up. Over the past month many friends have shared with me their own stories of living with loved ones with mental illness, and I'm grateful for that. NAMI-NYC is neccessary because good services should be available for everyone. And no family should live with the stigma that keeps them isolated.
That's why I am running the NYC Half Marathon in March to raise money and awareness for the work of NAMI-NYC. That's why I teach a free 12-week course that gives family members skills that help them understand and cope with their family member's brain disorders. That's why I hope you will consider making a tax deductable donation by clicking through to my campaign page. Thank you!
