The Epidemic of Elder Isolation
Social isolation and loneliness hurt the heart and soul of seniors. Elder isolation is now considered an epidemic, with the health dangers equal to smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
This is unacceptable. You can lead the way to help end this growing problem in Boston. How?
The Walk to End Elder Isolation is the 4th Annual Walk. Our ambitious goal is to raise $110,000 to reduce elder isolation in Boston and Brookline.
I will be walking for my friend Eileen, who will hopefully be in attendance to cheer on walkers! Come take a stroll around the beautiful Jamaica Pond and become a part of the wonderful community that FriendshipWorks has created, or please considering donating if you can't make it on the day!
Every step we take will make a difference in the life of an elder
