HEY HEY EVERYBODY!!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!!
I'm thrilled to be running my second NYC Marathon with The Narcolepsy Network, as an advocate for narcolepsy awareness. I'm even more excited to use this opportunity to empower other young female professionals living with narcolepsy to live life unlimited and above any labels or conditions.
At first glance, and to those unfamiliar with the condition, excessive daytime sleepiness doesn't seem to be a problem--in fact, some people will go as far as calling it a blessing. But the reality for anyone with narcolepsy is that these symptoms (which include excessive sleepiness, sleep disruption, sleep paralysis, and nightmares or vivid (often frightening) dreamlike experiences that seem real while falling asleep or waking up) are far from a blessing. Sharing my story while doing something I truly enjoy empowers me to continue to live above my condition and thrives in the areas I exist.
I'm running the TCS NYC Marathon with #TeamNarcolepsy to remind anyone who struggles with narcolepsy or any other condition with significant psycho-social impact to live above their condition and beyond limits. Share your story with passion and purpose, and watch how you'll truly live life unlimited.
With your support, this road to 26.2 is will surely be one for the book. #roadtoNYCMarathon #runningforacause #TeamNarcolepsyAwareness
