WHAT WE DO
Ten years ago My Friends House Foundation embarked on a journey to inspire others to make random acts of kindness a lifestyle. Today, with the commitment of many new friends, MFHF serves an average of 500 people experiencing homelessness in the capital of displaced men, women and their children; Los Angeles. To date, we have served 200,000 or more through our outreach services.
WE ARE EXPANDING!!!
My Friend's House Foundation is expanding its services to ATLANTA, Georgia. We are super excited to be able to serve beyond our backyard.
Jack Hardin, co-chairman of the United Way's Regional Commission on Homelessness, commented on Atlanta's - homeless and poverty stats, stating "There are some discouraging figures in the new report. Homelessness among veterans and families rose slightly this year, and so did the number of homeless sleeping on streets, rather than in shelters. Hardin said that shows that street outreach should be an area of focus in Atlanta's efforts to combat homelessness." We know every city has its share of homelessness and poverty, but some places are worse than others. That’s especially true for Atlanta because it’s been named one of the neediest cities in America, according to WalletHub.
Please help us help more, and do more for ATLANTA!
WHY (Our Mandate)
Matthew 25:35-40, 'For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
