So the conversation always starts with... what is World's Toughest Mudder?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MlMBRlP1gM
After watching that, the questions usually begin (are you serious? why would you do that? you don't really go the entire 24 hours... do you?). In 2015, we laughed, we cried, we struggled, we battled, one of us chipped a tooth and went hypothermic and the other sprained an ankle and went hyperthermic - but, we found our best. Over 50 miles (40 in 5mm wetsuits) and 200 obstacles and we didn't stop for the entire 24 hours. It changed us.
After a year off, we have had an entire year to re-embrace this event. We have worked incredibly hard and are much better prepared than 2015. Our training has been at another level and our overall health is positive with a month to go. We are prepared to have our best race yet.
As part of our journey this year, we learned about Tough Mudder teaming up with Team Rubicon. Team Rubicon's primary mission is providing disaster relief to those affected by natural disasters, be they domestic or international. By pairing the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders, medical professionals, and technology solutions, Team Rubicon aims to provide the greatest service and impact possible.
With all that has transpired across our country this past year, we agreed this is a great cause to support and raise funds for during this race. If able, please consider support Team Rubicon and the Muddy Undies as we tackle World's Toughest Mudder this year.
