I'm hiking Mt Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48 states, with a crew of friends on August 15th. This is a bucket list item since all of us are turning 40 this year, but in addition I'm raising money to help Wave Foundation build a new Computer Lab and Library for the Children of Godenu, Ghana. Your donations will help plaster the buildings, pour a concrete floor, install electricity and ceiling fans, install doors and windows, and have a local carpenter build desks and chairs. All labor is provided by local resources helping to inject money into the local economy.
Wave is a 501(c)3 non-profit that was founded in 2007 by Darlene Murphy and has built a school in rural Ghana to provide education to over 500 elementary school children. More info on our story can be found at www.wave4kids.org.
