Lauren, Alan, Asher, and Meirav are tackling a mountain.
And not just any mountain.
On July 14, 2019, we will head out on an expedition to reach the summit of Mt. Adams, the second highest peak (altitude 12,276') in Washington State's remote Cascades wilderness.
Why are we doing this?
In 2018, Lauren's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the last year, she has fought back against this disease with everything she's got, pushing through months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments to reach and maintain cancer-free status.
Next to that, a mountain is nothing!
Together, Team Sachs needs to raise $8,000, as we partner with Jodi's Climb For Hope to raise money to fund breast cancer and MS research. Since its inception, Climb For Hope has helped over 100 climbers to summit mountains on 4 continents, while raising over $800,000.
All of the money we raise will go directly to the work of Dr. Leisha Emens and Dr. Peter Calabresi, eminent researchers at Johns Hopkins who are doing some of the world’s most ground-breaking and promising research. You can read more about their work on the Climb For Hope website.
We hope you can help us work to eradicate this terrible disease.
