Mount Adams is the perfect Introduction to basic mountaineering.
Simultaneous sunset and moonrise at basecamp 2013
This year’s novice expedition to Mt. Adams will also be a parent-child experience, complete with mountain challenges, education, bonding, and a lifetime of memories.
This three-day novice climb will introduce families to the joys of summiting a glaciated dormant volcano. Mt. Adams is Washington State's second highest peak (altitude 12,276’) and is situated in the remote and stunning Cascades wilderness.
Our first parent-child climb, this expedition promises challenges, education, bonding, and a lifetime of memories. As this is also our novice climb, individual climbers seeking a transformative experience are welcome as well, as are other family combinations (aunt/nephew, etc.)
