The Amazon rainforest has been burning for quite some time now, and there hasn't seemed to be any affort to stop it from the Brazilian government. There are about 76 000 fires burning in the Amazon right now, a 80% increase from just last year. It has to do with President Bolsonaro's acceptance of deforestation, with most of the fires being man made. He has refused help from the G7 and the only thing he is doing is banning people from lighting the forest on fire for 60 days, which isn't going to do much. That is why SHARE / GO GREEN from Manitoulin Secondary School would like to raise money in support of the Amazon and give it to a foundation called Amazon Watch. They are a non-profit organization who is here to help the Amazon. Our goal is $1000 but if it goes over that, it'll be even better. Donate and help save the Amazon, because the damages being done won't be solved over night, but will take centuries to heal.
