Mrs. Rosenfeld has been an integral part of the Roslyn Trinity Cooperative Day School for over 40 years. When her own three boys Jonathan, Ben and David attended preschool at the Co-op, Mrs. Rosenfeld was an incredibly involved Co-op mom. She was even President of the school in 1980 and again in 1985. Luckily for the Co-op, when all her children had graduated, she stayed on as one of our beloved teachers for almost 30 years.
Mrs. Rosenfeld approaches every child she meets with an incredible sense of openness and respect. Everyone that spends time in her classroom falls under the spell of her calm, soothing and peaceful demeanor. Her thoughtfulness and inquisitive nature have helped countless students discover the beauty and wonder of nature, art and the world around us. At the same time, she has used her quiet strength to teach our children how to navigate their first social situations- making friends, speaking their minds, listening to others, and being part of a community.
Mrs. Rosenfeld's parting wish is to bestow yet another gift upon our incredibly special school. She wishes to continue to inspire collaboration, curiosity and countless connections with an outdoor wooden mud kitchen, she has carefully chosen. In honor of her retirement, we are requesting contributions, to be put toward the purchase of Community Playthings equipment, designed to stand the test of time, for all of the children to enjoy on our playground.
