Mother's Day Meso Run is a 501(c)3 non-profit that hosts an annual 5K run/walk on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend to raise awareness about and benefit research on mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a rare but deadly cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Our founder, Julia, lost her mother, Patty, to peritoneal mesothelioma a week before Mother's Day in 2017. Patty was an avid runner and hiker. In honor of her and the many others who have lost their lives to mesothelioma, we invite everyone to run or walk with us on the trails of a park to help fight this terrible disease. This year's event is at Los Angeles' Griffith Park on Saturday, May 9. Whether you join us in person or not, we appreciate your generous donations. Together, we will support critical research that leads to a cure.
