Help Support Artists with Disabilities!
Join the MOSA Museum on May 5, 2020 - #GivingTuesdayNow for Global Day of Giving and Unity in Response to Covid-19 Needs
Dear Friends of MOSA,
The Museum of Special Art is amongst the many nonprofits participating in the Giving Tuesday Now campaign. #GivingTuesdayNow is an emergency response to assist nonprofits struggling during this coronavirus crisis we are all facing. It is a global day of giving and unity, set to take place tomorrow on May 5, 2020.
At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. It’s a day for everyone around the world to stand together and give back in all ways, no matter who or where we are.
This #GivingTuesdayNow, please join MOSA in our mission to transform the lives of people with disabilities by supporting visual arts programming and future exhibitions for these artists. The MOSA Open Studio program has provided these artists with access to a studio area where they can learn visual art skills in various mediums and learn how to prepare their creations for selling or presenting their work to our community. The Open Studio programs and exhibitions have given these artists self-esteem and recognition for their work and artistic talents in our community.
However due to the current coronavirus crisis, MOSA has been forced to suspend these programs. Your much needed donation will help us through this current coronavirus situation we are facing so we can keep these artists socially connected during this time and as it surpasses. Your contribution will help us develop virtual programming in the arts so these at home artists can continue to have access to the arts through online classes where they can create their work together in a classroom like setting and share their work with our community in an online art gallery. It will further help MOSA to start up again and be able to continue these programs as we once again open up in our community.
MOSA thanks each and every one of you for all your generosity for artists with disabilities and for supporting us during this very challenging time.
