As part of our June Global Volunteer Month, Morgan Stanley will again participate in the High Water Women Backpack Drive by hosting an on-site Backpack Assembly Event at its 1585 Broadway Headquarters on Thursday, June 21st. Our goal is to raise $5,000 by May 23rd to purchase the school supplies needed to assemble 250 backpacks at this June Assembly Event. Each $20 donation funds a backpack filled with grade-appropriate school supplies. This is a great opportunity for Morgan Stanley employees to participate in community outreach by making a donation to help us reach our goals. Each year, the High Water Women Backpack Drive helps some of the neediest children in our area start school in September ready to learn.
Morgan Stanley has again been paired with Hunts Point Alliance for Children, a non-profit organization that works with over 300 children and their families to support the educational progress of the children of Hunts Point. The Hunts Point Alliance provides resources for the intellectual, social, emotional and physical health and well-being of these children. All assembled backpacks from our Backpack Assembly Event will be given to the Hunts Point Alliance for Children.
