It is an unpredented time for everyone. The Montrose~Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce has had to postpone all events until further notice. Our operations rely heavily on these events to get us through each year. Though we do have some revenue from our membership fees, it is very minimal and not nearly enough to cover our overhead. To make matters worse, our non-profit organization has not qualified for any grants, with the exception of one (we have yet to hear back but even so, it will only relieve us for one month of the financial burden). This puts us at a projected loss of about $50,000 (and counting). We have made siginificant adjustments to make what we have now, last us a few more months, but the future of our organization is uncertain until we receive some assistance. We will continue to work with the limited resources we have to be a resource for our small businesses and community for as long as we can. It has been an honor to be able to assist the Glendale Al Fresco Program and the local food drive. With your help, we hope to continue our efforts for the months to come and hope to resume our annual Oktoberfest and Craft Beer Fest events as soon as we are allowed to. We have been a resource for our community and businesses + hosting events to put our small town "on the map" since 1923 and hope to do so for more decades to come.
The donations goal of $20,000 will provide us enough time to plan and execute other events (virtual) and fundraisers until we can resume back to "normal" operations. No donation is too small, together we can get through this, any donation contributes to the long term goal. Please consider making a donation either through here or directly by mailing a check. Thank you and stay safe.
