Montgomery County Search and Rescue Team is a non-profit organization of professionally trained volunteers that assists law enforcement agencies to help in various situations such as lost or missing persons, drowning victims, hiking accidents, swift water and wilderness rescue. Our team consists of nearly one hundred volunteer men, women and young adults who are all on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is the mission of search teams to identify and document clues in order to track and successfully locate missing persons or evidence. We use a number of resources including specially trained search dogs, horse teams, GPS tracking devices for mapping search areas, radios for communication out in the field, a specially designed water rescue boat and a mobile command center. Our organization is running dangerously low on funds since the pandemic has prevented us from participating in our usual fundraising activities. You never know when we could get hit with another Hurricane Harvey and we need to be prepared. 100% of donations go to operational expenses, as our members do not and will not accept payment for their work. We would appreciate a gift of any size, but if you donate at least $50, we would love to give you a free MOCSAR supporter T-shirt. Click the register button to give us your address and shirt size. Due to this campaign, we have received several large donations not reflected in the totals here that have brought us more than halfway to our goal! Thank you all for your support!
