As a marathon runner, running for a cause is something I wholeheartedly believe in. I lost my father a year ago to Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma, a type of oesophagal cancer and this had a profound impact on my life. He was my inspiration. Pops remained a fighter until his last breath and so am I, which is why I am most interested in running for this cause at the Publix Half Marathon on March 17, 2019.
The American Cancer Society is the only organization that funds breakthrough research, provides a free place to stay near hospitals, offers free rides to treatment, and provides support 24/77 with a live cancer helpline.
Raising awareness for this wonderful organization in cancer research is of utmost importance to me and as a passionate runner, I believe that I can make a change. If you agree with me, don't hesitate to donate to my fundraiser! Just remember every bit counts.
