The Mohawk Militia hopes of raising $250,000 in donations to build a greenhouse for US Vets. We are also currently looking to build partnerships and sponsorships with the right businesses through our exciting journey (email email@example.com for more info on sponsorships). The charity provides opportunities to learn about healthy eating and to provide a platform for veterans to earn wages by assisting with planting of vegetable seeds and harvesting of organic crops. The crops are sold to local restaurants and hotels with 100% of the revenue going to the Vets. We currently are on pace to pay each Vet almost $40k a year for part time therapeutic growing, maintaining, and harvesting their organic, NON GMO crops. We hope to grow the concept across the US. The charity values running a "clean operation" giving back all that it makes (100%) to Vets. Our teams succeed through organization, communication, & delegation. Over 20 million today have proudly served to protect our freedom as well as our country. The experiences that these Vets encounter leave them with PTSD (short for post-traumatic stress disorder) as they complete their service or discharged for being wounded. Upon arriving home, they struggle with with acclimating back to society as well as receiving the care they direly deserve. Transitioning from the military into civilian life isn't easy. Despite the fact that you come from the same country and speak the same language, the culture of the civilian working world is radically different from the military. Both have different hierarchies, practices, and industry-specific language. Making a successful transition means learning a new set of skills to adapt to civilian workforce culture. The charity strives to assist in this transititon. Lets take care of our U.S. Vets who take care of us and our freedom!
