Did you know that in some Asian countries such as China, Korea or Japan, a sign of approval and appreciation of someone’s cooking is to slurp the soup loudly - an expression disapproved of in most western countries? Perhaps, you didn’t know that North Korea and Cuba are the only countries where you can’t buy Coca-Cola or that Africa is home to anywhere from 800 to 1,500 of the world’s languages making it possibly the most linguistically diverse continent in the world. The Earth is enormous with about 197 countries, home to more than 7,000 languages and more than 7.8 billion people. Worldhealer recognizes that the ability to understand, respect, and work well with people from diverse cultures is increasingly important for social and academic success in an interconnected world.
Worldhealer, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to inform the community more about global issues and create an appreciation for different cultures and places around the world through educating K-12 students with its global awareness workshops, as well as with leadership building and entrepreneurship programs which foster the development of community leaders.
The goal of Worldhealer is to cultivate understanding and appreciation of global diversity and teach the participants leadership skills which transform limiting thoughts and emotional responses into comprehension and empowerment. Our society today is facing far too many issues that leave millions of people neglected. Worldhealer sees the great potential we have for the future, as well as the upcoming generations that have the power to make a change. Our goal is to educate these young leaders about global issues and raise awareness so that tomorrow’s world will be in good hands. Will you invest in our future?
