This year, I've started spending my Saturdays mentoring through a program called Minds Matter. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to mentor a wonderful student, Mauriza, with my co-mentor Morgan.
Mauriza is a junior in high school, with aspirations of attending college to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. She is a bright young woman, and I am so happy to be her mentor. Through Minds Matter, she receives ACT prep, writing instruction, and the opportunity to broaden her horizons through attending summer programs at various institutions. Last summer, she attended Harvard and experienced a collegiate level class on medicine.
I'm raising money to support Minds Matter because I've seen the opportunities it provides to the students in the program, and I fully support their goal to close the opportunity gap that prevents all students from succeeding.
A little bit goes a long way, and all donations are tax deductible! You can learn more about what your donation can provide below. I would love to answer any questions that you have about mentoring, Mauriza, and the program. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
