Meet Kerry! Kerry is a Sophomore at Edward M. Kennedy Academy in Boston.
She is a prospective first generation college student currently earning straight A's, studying for the ACT, and taking intensive writing courses in her free time to achieve her goal of attending a great 4 year university. She hopes to one day become a doctor and loves studing Math.
This year I've had the opportunity to spend Saturday mornings at MIT's campus helping Kerry navigate early stages of preparing for college through Minds Matter Boston. Minds Matter is an awesome organization that has sent 100% of first-gen participants to four-year colleges since its inception in 2003. Please consider donating so Minds Matter can extend its reach even further and let me know if you'd like to learn more!
