Hello Friends and Family,
Over the past few weeks I have had the pleasure of spending my Saturdays with Salahdin Kahsay (Sal) - a current Junior at Cambridge Ringe and Latin School - as part of Minds Matter Boston, an organization dedicated to helping low-income students achieve academic excellence and overcome barriers inhibiting opportunities for post-secondary education.
Every week Sal comes to class eager to learn something new and participate in group discussions. Sal's hobbies include reading everything & anything, and playing basketball with his friends. Sal's favorite class is AP Biology and he is hoping to pursue a double major in Biology and Classical Literature in College. Recently, Sal has taken an interest in the Stock Market, and remains confident he will emerge victorious in our Stock Market Challenge among our triad.
At Minds Matter, we believe that no student dedicated to earning a college education should be limited be their socioeconomic status. Please help us continue our mission to empower motivated students like Salahdin to achieve their dreams of college attainment regardless of socioeconomic factors.
Every dollar counts!
