Happy Holidays! This year represents the culmination of the Minds Matter program for my mentee, Alyssa. I cannot believe that this is my third year as her mentor and that she is a SENIOR! Over the past 2.5 years, she has dedicated approximately 300 out of school hours to accelerate her academics and become a competitive college applicant. It has been amazing to see her growth and development. This fall has been filled with an abundance of self-reflection, college list creation, and of course application writing, and Alyssa is excited to have already submitted some college applications! She is applying to some wonderful colleges and universities including the College of the Holy Cross, Brown University, Stonehill College, and my alma mater Hamilton College among others and I could not be more excited for her! As a senior mentor this year, I am hoping to be able to reach my fundraising goal for the Minds Matter Holiday Fundraiser for the THIRD year in a row! This year, my personal fundraiser will directly contribute to the cost of a laptop that Alyssa will receive at Minds Matter Graduation in May. The cost of this laptop is $1,000 and so I am hoping to reach or surpass that fundraising goal. I cannot do this without your help, and am so grateful for any donation that you are willing to provide as any amount will help to provide Alyssa with a gift that she will use for years to come. Thank you so much for considering to donate and I hope that this holiday season and the new year brings you plenty of health and happiness!
