100% of All donations will be matched until Tuesday, 12/1!
We need your donations! Missoula Fencing Association is a non-profit fencing club that has been serving our community since 2007. We offer instruction in the sport of Olympic Fencing to children and adults in Western Montana. Home to students of all ages, we have always strived to promote respect and strong social ties. COVID-19 has served a devastating blow to our organization, and MFA needs your help. Between now and next Tuesday, December 1st, 100% of ALL donations will be matched. Your donations will support an air filtration system and club viability.
Following strong health protocols for in-person instruction, we have been able to protect our students’ well-being. Part of the protocol includes keeping all doors and windows open within our facility. With colder weather quickly approaching, an air filtration system allows us to close doors and windows during Montana’s frigid winters.
MFA will be unable to survive if Missoula experiences the second round of COVID-19. The first bout of outbreaks severely impacted our financials, and any further impact will be unrecoverable. Donations will go towards basic necessities to support the club, such as rent, phone bills, and instruction costs.
Missoula Fencing Association is more than a sports facility; it’s a safe environment where students of all skill levels and ages can thrive. In 2017, MFA was awarded the Best Youth Development Club in the nation by USA Fencing. We consistently qualify students for the Junior Olympics, with one of our fencers placing 22nd in the country this year. While simultaneously offering a competitive environment, we create a space for recreational students to explore their passions at their own pace. We offer after-school programs, outreach to community organizations, and scholarships for students in need. We conduct a yearly service project that serves elderly and disabled folks, has offered programs to youth experiencing homelessness, and youth in group homes. At its core, MFA is a home where anyone entering our doors will find a place.
Please help MFA keep our doors open so that we can survive COVID-19 and continue serving our community. We will be grateful for ALL donations ~ both large and small! Thank you
