This matching fundraiser is an initiative of Mission of Mary Cooperative , a non-profit organization that works in east Dayton. Mission of Mary Cooperative is a catalyst and partner for sustainable urban development in the community of Dayton, Ohio by the ways of food access, education, and restoration. Thanks to the generosity of the Uhl family foundation the first $10,000 donated will be matched 1:1.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to help Mission of Mary Cooperative expand its capacity to serve the growing needs of food access in our community by providing the resources to build a 12x14 walk-in cooler and a larger outdoor wash pack station. The area the infrastructure will be placed is the lowest part of our property and gets waterlogged, which will require the services of a civil engineer, farm consultant, concrete, electrical, carpenter, and roofing contractors, as well as appropriate drainage to prepare space for the installation. This capital improvement will not only help us continue to grow and distribute more vegetables to the community we serve, but also help improve the workflow, efficiency, and improve the overall work environment at Mission of Mary Cooperative.
Help us reach our fundraising goals by donating and also sharing with your friends and family.
