Help us support our ministry work and our Pastors and Missionaries during this time of need.
I pray to God that every one of you is doing well!
I have been battling in my heart on whether or not I should reach out for help in a time like we are experiencing now, especially knowing that we all carry our own burdens, have budgets to meet, and ministry to make happen in our own communities.
It has been through a lot of prayer and meditation that God has led me to share this with you for three main purposes:
1. So that you may know how to effectively pray for us and our ministry in Mexico.
2. If you feel so led, to help us financially to accomplish our goal to reach and help our MH communities in moving from the state of emergency to a state of progressive recovery.
3. To ensure that we can continue to pay all of our missionaries, pastors, and staff that are supported and serve under the MH platform.
As most of you know, everyone at MH has been preparing the year 2020. For 18 months, we have believed that 2020 would be the year that God would lead us to a great harvest. We have worked hard and diligently towards accomplishing our God given goals and now more than ever believe that everything going on around us is part of His plan, and that the promise of "things that no eye has seen and that no ear has heard" is still in store for our ministry in Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Brazil.
I believe we are facing one of history’s greatest opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ boldly as we continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our target communities. For you, our partners, working with us in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, I want to share our relief plan for our church plants, their villages, and the surrounding villages.(see attachment)
As you know, the main source of income for most families in the Yucatan Peninsula is tourism. Due to hotel and airport closings amid COVID-19 PANDEMIC, tens of thousands of people are out of work with no knowledge as to when they can return to wok. As of today, many families have been without an income for 6 weeks. Families are having to make tough decisions on skipping a rent payment or buying critical medicine because they have to put food on the table. Unlike the USA, filing for unemployment or government benefits is not an option. The needs are growing daily and we can only do more with your help.
We are doing everything we can to mobilize our people and resources to expedite the purchase and distribution of this much needed assistance. We need to move fast and get help to these people in the most vulnerable conditions.
Our emergency response plan was launched in April and it has fed over 150 families for the last 4-5 weeks. Our goal is to continue upholding our commitment to support our faithful staff and their families, which releases them to focus on helping people in our target villages.
Would you please consider donating today? (Information on how to give is attached below) No amount is too small. Together we can make sure that no child goes hungry and that every family has food on the table. Help us restore hope in our villages of the Yucatan Peninsula and continue to share the Love of Christ by meeting their most basic and urgent needs.
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $92,200 (detailed information of fund distribution in chart below). Would you please join us in our efforts to make a difference in these desperate times?
Thank you in advance for your support
