"Miracle Morgan" was born on August 25th 2017, exactly 2 months early. Due to a uterine rupture, Morgan was delivered via emergency c section and was in the NICU at Presbyterian Hospital for 63 long days.
In addition to Morgan having to learn all of the basics; how to breath, suck and swallow, she also suffered from pneumothorax and needed two chest tubes immediately. Morgan was on morphine due to this procedure, we were not able to hold her for the first 7 days. It was a very scary time for all of us, we had so many questions and had no idea where to even begin.
We thank all of our friends and family for supporting us with visits to the hospital, gifts for Morgan & her big sister, caring for her big sister when we couldn't be at home and for the many meal deliveries that helped keep us all fed during this time.
We are so thankful for Pierces Project, which provided us 2 meals per week while in the NICU, it was a saving grace on those days. We would like to give back to this charity and offer those families in the NICU the same experience we receieved.
Morgan is now 11 months old and is doing so great! For Morgan's 1st Birthday celebration, instead of gifts, we ask for you to please consider donating to this important fund.
Please join us in raising funds for the 5th Annual Premature Oktoberfest event, benefitting local NICU families by offering counseling services, parking passes, care packages, etc.
THANK YOU!!
