As a 501C3 rescue, Passion for Pitties gets many calls from both shelter, and rescue partners in the course of a week. Sometimes we have quite a bit of information about a dog’s medical needs, other times we have very limited information. As an organization that cares deeply about helping dogs get to a point where they can find their forever home, we at times incur medical expenses (both expected and unexpected) in an effort to make sure that the dogs in our care are happy and healthy when they enter a new home.
Sometimes, we bring dogs into our family that have more medical needs than typical. As a result, Passion for Pitties has racked up quite a bit of medical debt. As a non-profit, we rely completely on donations, and as our medical expenses have climbed quite a bit in the last several months, we are in need of some extra help. To get an idea of the needs of our animals, below will highlight several of our special pups that have needed a bit more help along their journey:

Injury to front elbow and rear leg (requiring x-rays)
Severe Allergy treatment
Mass removal on neck
Blood testing and mass testing
Infection at neuter site
Surgery to repair cleft palate
Surgery to repair damage to nose caused by blunt force trauma
Mass removal and biopsy
Repair to front leg due to severe break
Mammary mass removal
Treatment for Severe internal and external infections as a result of living conditions in a hoarding situation.
