Join Forecast in supporting public artists with mini-grants to draw on creativity during this challenging time.
Forecast asked artists how we can best help them and their communities NOW. In response, we reallocated $10,000 of our own resources to quickly provide mini-grants to 20 public artists to safely create and share messages of hope within their communities—a much-needed act of solidarity in the face of these stark economic and health crises.
We don’t want to stop there and need your help to reach even more artists! Forecast received nearly 400 applications for our first cycle of mini-grants for artists in Minnesota and the Native nations sharing the same geography. We want to continue giving mini-grants to applicants. Your gift will help us launch a second mini-grant cycle, reaching 20 more public artists (40 total) and their communities. Every $500 raised means another artist project can become a reality.
Please make a gift today and help us reach our goal by this Friday, May 1!
Donations over $50 will receive one of three original works of art by MN artists Christina Vang, Mike Davis, or Marlena Myles.
Our artists and communities need the transformational power of creativity now more than ever. Help us fuel that creativity by supporting artists to continue to create, even and especially during this challenging time.
We hope you’ll stay in touch and follow the progress of our first round of grantees. All projects will be activated by April 30 and you can see real-time updates on our Forecast social media.
