All donations on this page will go directly to Youth Press and Development Organization, the NGO that has started this campagin.
All activies at the Youth Press and Development Organization have paused due to COVID-19. Zambia is one of the African countries most severely affected by poverty. Students have no access to online education during the global pandemic. Children and youths of the YPDO still have to go to school for in-person exams.
62% of Zambia's population live off of less than $2 a day (HabitatforHumanity, 2017.)
With your help, we can buy food, hand sanitizers, and face masks for these children and youths. 24 cents can help buy a face mask; 1 US dollar can help buy a bottle of hand sanitizer; and 5 US dollars can help us buy a day of food for a family of 6.
Please share with your network of families, friends, and colleagues to raise awareness of our needs. Your action today can help save these children!
We are based in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. The YPDO is a community center that focuses on community enrichment. We offer opportunities for young people to play sports and provide education to avoid high-risk decision making. We have soccer and chess clubs for multiple age groups as well as athletics and educational activities, Our community school, Kenani Community School, supports students of grades 1-12 and provides elderly care.
The projects serve a combined total of 800 people (400 elementary students of ages 5-15, 300 football/soccer student athletes of ages 8-17, and 100 elderly citizens of ages 60-75.)
We are asking people to donate as generously and comfortably as possible.
If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to Kebby, the Executive Director of YPDO at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please be patient for replies as he is currently dealing with reduced internet access in Zambia.
