MSA is a rare and terminal condition affecting approximately 15,000 Americans and thousands more around the world. There is no cure. That said, the MSA Coalition's grant program and the dedication of passionate MSA researchers are making a difference, as several promising diagnostics and treatments continue to be studied. The MSA Coalition also funds and/or leads important educational, emotional support, and awareness initiatives.
My father was diagnosed with MSA after initially being misdiagnosed with Parkinson's. It is a terrible progressive, neurological disease.
I've been running for fourteen years, and now I'm trying to use my passion for running to help raise awareness and funds for MSA research.
Please use the hashtag #Miles4MSA when doing your runs, walks, bike rides, rollerblading, etc. to bring awareness to this fundraising site.
