Please join me in our second annual fundraiser to support the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide. In 2017 we tragically lost a precious young friend to suicide. Mary Glenn Oliver (pictured above) was a bright, warm-hearted teenage girl who made everyone's day better simply by her presence. She was loved by her family, friends, camp community, my daughters, and everyone who knew her. We miss her and want to find ways to help prevent other young people from similar deaths. National studies show teen suicide is the second leading cause of death in students age 10-24. Nearly 18% of high school students admit to thinking about suicide and almost 9% acknowledge actually making an attempt. On April 14th, I am running the Shape Magazine Women's Half Marathon in New York City in honor of Mary Glenn. Her mother Sara and some other friends are coming to New York to run with me this year. Would you please consider making a donation to support our run and raise necessary funds to further the critical work of the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide? My goal is to rasie $15,000, so any donation is greatly appreciated. You can also join us in support by running or walking that morning wherever you live.
P.S. Because I am not on social media, please do share the link with friends who you think would support this cause. #milesformaryglenn
