2021 marks 20 years since losing my father, William Perez, to Hogkins Lymphoma cancer. At 33, My father was given 6 months to live but managed to keep fighting til 37. Now that I am the same age he was diangosed, I cannot begin to comprend his battle physically or mentally. In his memory I wanted to do something special this year to remember him.
In his memory, I will be running 1000 miles through out the year while raising money for cancer research. Every race I run this year, I will be growing this campaign and make a contribution to fighting Lymphoma cancer.
My dad was a compassionate and charismatic man who lit up every place and person he was around. Not a day has gone by that I haven't kept him in my thoughts and heart. I invite you to remember my dad, share your memories, stories, photos and join me for a mile or two.
