Miles for Change

Today, June 5th, is World Environment Day.  Over the last few months, we’ve been thinking about ways to help link some of our favorite passions together: people, running and the planet.

Like many of you, we have been wanting to help make a positive impact during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the other pandemic we have been facing for a much longer time: systematic racism.

Racial injustice isn't limited soley to law enforcement- its been polluting every corner of our society, including the air we breathe. In fact, leading researchers point out that air pollution harms the poor and people of color in this country more than anybody else.

Equity and equality are very much linked to sustinability. Fighting racial inequalities is an endurance sport so for the month of June & July we are asking family, friends, coworkers and strangers to lace up their shoes and join us as we walk-run-bike #milesforchange.

If you feel inclined to run and contribute to this cause, all proceeds will be donated to the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).

EDF is a leading international nonprofit organization that links science, economics, law and innovative private sector partnerships to the most serious environmental problems. EDF is working towards providing support and solutions to achieve both social and environmental justice for all people and the systems we live and operate in.
