Last spring, I started running with an organization called Mile in My Shoes (affectionately known as MiMS). The goals of MiMS include building community, boosting health and wellness, and sparking social action by bringing the power of running to people experiencing homelessness and other barriers. MiMS' mission: running together to change perceptions and change lives.
On Thanksgiving, Will (my home-from-college son) and I are pacing a MiMS resident/alumni in the Drumstick Dash. We're using the event to help raise money for MiMS. Your donation could be used in many meaningful ways. For instance, $25 covers a Resident Member's entry fee for an upcoming race, and $50 buys a pair of shoes for a new Resident Member runner.
Thank you, in advance, for supporting Mile in My Shoes. If we reach our fundracing goal, Will and I will run extra fast and keep you posted on the results.
