***All donations go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society***
Mike was the most caring, loving father and husband. He grew up on Long Island, NY and spent most of his time there until about 9 years ago when he moved to Cary, NC with Robin. Mike enjoyed watching New York Giants football games, eating sweet desserts, playing with their cat, Peeta, and playing backgammon. Those who knew him would tell you that he would always brighten up any room, loved cracking jokes, and always had a smile on his face.
Mike was first diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma back in 2012. Luckily the cancer was only in his neck and was able to be removed. He was in remission for about 6 years until August 2018 when he was diagnosed with more aggressive Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. At this point he underwent several chemotherapy treatments and then in April 2019 he underwent his first Bone Marrow Transplant. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful, and he had to undergo a second Bone Marrow Transplant. He fought the entire way through the process, but unfortunately the transplants were unsuccessful. Mike passed away on September 5, 2019. Amy and Robin created this fundraiser to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their cancer research with the hope of finding a cure someday to treat Non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
Thank you for your support! Mike would have appreciated your donation to this cause.
