Thank you for visiting my donation page for the 2021 Cape Cod Bay Challenge (CCBC).
On July 31st I will take to the water with a group of paddlers to navigate a 16-miles course on a stand-up paddleboard to help raise money for a wonderful non-profit organization in Boston called Christopher’s Haven (www.christophershaven.org). Christopher’s Haven provides housing to children (and their families) who come to Boston for pediatric cancer treatment.
Christopher's Haven is not a “local” charity to Boston. Children and families from all over the world come to Boston for its world class medical facilities and innovative pediatric cancer treatments. Christopher’s Haven not only provides housing for families who have a child going through cancer treatment but it is a support system to help with things large and small, and a community where families can be together, share a laugh, be comforted, and comfort others. Christopher’s Haven allows kids and families to focus their energies on the challenge of beating cancer. It is an amazing place.
In addition to being a participant in the event for the past 12 years, I am also on the Board of the CCBC and help with the planning of the event each year.
2021 is going to be a great year for the CCBC. We are extremely excited about getting our paddlers back out in the water together but we are also psyched about trying to grow the virtual paddle which will help our efforts in raising money and awareness for Christopher's Haven.
Now more than ever, children who are affected by cancer and come to Boston for treatment need Christopher’s Haven and Christopher's Haven needs our support.
Please consider donating to my paddle!
