OLINGER POOL IS THE ONLY PUBLICLY-OWNED POOL STILL IN OPERATION IN THE SALEM-KEIZER AREA. THE POOL IS OVER 80 YEARS OLD AND IN NEED OF MAJOR REPAIRS TO STAY OPEN. MID-VALLEY AQUATICS IS A SALEM NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, WHICH PROVIDES PROGRAMS THROUGH OLINGER POOL. OUR GOAL IS TO REACH OUR COMMUNITY AND RAISE THE FUNDS NECESSARY TO KEEP OLINGER POOL OPEN AND SERVING OUR COMMUNITY.

We are on a critical timeline. Our pool must be resurfaced and repaired this August! The repairs must be done at a time when the ground pressure is relatively low to prevent major cracks when the pool is drained. The bottom of the pool is disintegrating, paint is flaking, plaster on the bulk-head is breaking off in chunks, the pool is losing water daily to leaks. The pool needs several repairs that can only be done when the pool is fully drained and the repairs cannot wait. Olinger must stay open! Over 500 kids in our community each year learn to swim through our swim lesson programs, including outreach groups serving at-risk populations. Local military groups and search and rescue groups train in our facilities. Athletes from kids just starting swim team for the first time through nationally competitive high school and collegiate swimmers train here daily. Water polo clubs, masters swim team, and triathletes train at Olinger. This pool plays a vital role in our community! Please donate and help save Olinger Pool!
