Thank you friends for all your support and kindness in the past. Now more than ever we at Mid City Nutrition recognize the need for our services. The Coronavirus Pandemic has changed all of our lives, but the impact it has on those we serve in our community is overwhelming. Imagine “Stay Home Stay Safe”, when there may be no home, no food? How does one actually Stay Safe? This year alone we have seen a 33% increase in the number of people we serve and the demand continues to grow. But this statistic, though important, is not as important as recognizing that the number is a reflection of real people, families, and children. We are currently in the basement of St. Martin Church as we strive to reach our goal to raise the funds for our new building. Though the church has served us well, we have now grown in need so much that the space and it’s kitchen can no longer accommodate our needs. We are almost there friends, a balance of $250,000 remains, but with-out the additional funds the building cannot be started. We ask you to join us in this final push to reach the remaining of our New Building Fund Goal. We ask you to help us to make it happen, to be able to place that incredible first shovel in the ground by this fall, so that a foundation can be poured, the build-ing framed in, and work continue through the winter! These efforts will ensure a Spring that Celebrates, the Opening of the New Building, with greater ca-pacities to serve and a New Hope that will last long into the next generation.
Giving is an act of kindness, that changes lives, including our own.
