Better late than never! This will be 65-year old Mike’s first boxing match. A native of Baltimore, Md. Mike went to high school in Jersey, college in Ohio, then on to Virginia and North Carolina while in the Marine Corps before moving to NYC in 1980 where he worked and lived for 36 years.
A highlight was coaching a high school team in the 2005 NYC baseball championship at Yankee Stadium.
He and his wife now reside in Dutchess County where he trains at the Floyd Patterson Boxing Club in Highland.
In 2007 Mike completed the Austin Marathon in response to teasing and challenges from athletes belonging to the Achilles Track Club; these athletes refuse to let the fact that they are blind, have had a TBI, or a leg amputation, etc. stop them from completing marathons and they have been a great inspiration to Mike.
We welcome Mike to his Fighters4Life debut and are happy and lucky to have Mike with us.
