For the last ten years, I have committed to the sport of Triathlon with my heart and soul. This led me to eventually pursue the sport full-time as a professional, represent the USA at several World Championship events, stand on a World Cup podium, and give the Olympic dream my absolute best shot. As my own professional career comes to a close, I am eager to set new athletic goals, and be a part of something bigger than myself. Running for the Mass General Pediatric Cancer team will be my first of many endeavors to give back, to be a part of a team, and to raise money for an amazing cause. I have followed the Boston Marathon for as long as I can remember, and after spectating last year, and watching Des come down Boylston Street to grab the tape, I knew this was an event I had to be a part of someday. That day will be April 15, 2019!
As I begin my journey toward the start line of my first marathon, with lofty goals (because lets face it, I will always want to be competitive in sport), I am eager to see what the process entails, and so excited to be a part of a team of like-minded, inspiring individuals. The greatest honor will be in running for the Pediatric Cancer unit of the Mass General Hospital in Boston, and with every step in my training and on race day, I will be thinking about all of those kiddos and their individual journeys.
I would be honored for you to donate to this amazing cause, and support my fundraising efforts as I embark on this exciting adventure.
Keep charging peeps,
