No family should have to lose a loved one to cancer. The years of tirless fighting can put a strain on any family and the loss of that fight can be uterly devistating. This rings even more true when the one affected is a child. I learned this first how heart wrenching it is to lose someone so young when my best friend past away in the 2nd grade. She faught with everything she had for two years only to lose her battle at 8 years old; she would have been 21 this year. So it's for her and every other family that I pledge to run and raise enough to help end childhood cancer.
