In my life I have taken on many challenges but this by far is one that warms my 💜 and soul. I am very excited to announce that my team and I will be Crossing for those who CAN NOT! We are taking on 80 miles of Open Ocean by board. As we paddle from Bimini, Bahamas to Lake Worth, FL we look forward to having our friends and family and any of you out there who want to follow along our journey for such an AMAZING cause.
Over 70,000 people in this beautiful world struggle to take their next breath. Many of us do not. Let’s fight for them! Statistics will show you that the average life span of someone battling Cystic Fibrosis is only that of 37 years old. The goal is to increase awareness and raise funding for research to help find a cure for this terrible disease.
What is CF you ask:
Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients.
So as we take on our challenge we graciously ask for your support as every contribution helps. We thank you in advance for helping us meet our goal. Please take a moment to click on the link below to learn more and an additional link to make your charitable contribution which is tax deductible for this 501(c)3. You are a major part in our success in this EPIC event. Thank you Thank you.
We are CROSSING FOR A CURE! #pipersangels 💕💜
