2019 is the 5th annual Climbing for ROMP event. Climbing for ROMP is a global initiative to give mobility to others! We raise money and awareness for amputees who do not have access to prosthetic care. By registering, climbing, and donating you are directly impacting an amputee in need through ROMP's clinics and programs in Latin America and the US.
Hello all!
Range of Motion Project is a great organization that helps people with amputation receive quality custom prosthetics in low-resource countries like Guatemala and Ecuador. As an organization, they have helped develop a full Guatemala prosthetics clinic to provide prosthetics despite the individual’s ability to pay.
I worked at ROMP Guatemala 2 years ago to help evaluate how prosthetic care improves patient’s physical, mental, and emotional health. While there I helped organize a Climbing for ROMP event for the clinic and persons with prosthetics up Volcano Pacaya.
A prosthetic device not only provides a means of physical mobility for a person with amputation, but also the opportunity for social and financial mobility. The climbing for ROMP event helps provide prosthetic care to more patients in need.
Please join and climb to celebrate human mobility!

In its first 4 years, thousands of people have climbed worldwide, representing every continent, and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to help ROMP patients get mobile. Climbing for ROMP allows us to directly translate physical mobility around the world. So when you sign up and go climb, walk, hike, or run, you are helping a ROMP patient take their first steps.
