Mercy paramedics respond in fully-equipped Advanced Life Support (ALS) chase cars as well as staffs 7 local fire company ambulances. In a year, this team responses to 15,000 emergency calls! Since March 2020, the team has responded to 300+ COVID-19 suspected or confirmed cases putting their lives on the line to care for our community.
Mercy EMS is always there for our community and today they need our help. We are raising financial support for the purchase of a new state-of-the-art chase car and cardiac monitor. These vehicles make it possible for the team to maintain their less than 9 minutes call response rate (beating the national average rate!). The special equipment they carry make it possible for the team to communicate directly with the doctors in the emergency department about cardiac patients.
