Each year, 1 in 5 Canadians will directly experience a mental health problem or illness and this is a reality in Southwest Saskatchewan. The Mental Health Unit at the Cypress Regional Hospital helps clients who are requiring acute/crisis mental health care on a daily basis. Sadly, suicide remains the leading cause of death from adolescence to middle age and therefore, Mental Health should be a priority for everyone.
Now with increased stressful events such as COVID-19, many individuals can find these situations even more challenging and can result in a higher number of patients admitted to the local hospital. Therefore, as we continue to work together as a community and partners in healthcare across the Southwest, we’re asking for your support in assisting the Mental Health Unit in Swift Current.
Recognizing the increased need to support Mental Health, the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation is raising money to support the valuable work that the Cypress Regional Hospital Mental Health Unit does each and every day through a “Go Fund Me Campaign“. This is truly a Southwest need as the Mental Health Unit provides care for all residents of Southwest Saskatchewan.
The Foundation is pleased to announce The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company has launched our campaign with a $5,000 donation to the Mental Health Unit with $4,500 now the remaining balance to fundraise.
Thank You for Your Support of the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation and the needs of the Mental Health Unit Fundraiser. By Working Together, We Can Make a Difference in Healthcare for Southwest Saskatchewan.
