COVID-19 has impacted the way we go about doing things today. It has changed the lifestyle of people around the world. Something important to notice is that children are also victims of this pandemic, which can be similar to the Ebola outbreak school enclosures from 2014 to 2016. School closures caused a drastic increase in child labor, sexual abuse, and teenage pregnancies. With the current situation, this is most likely to happen. We have to keep in mind that not all children have access to online school. Moreover, even after we start to see the “light at the end of the tunnel” for COVID-19, the vulnerable children are less likely to go back to school. With the help of donations going to UNICEF, we can not only get masks for the doctors in hospitals to treat patients, but it would give financial aid to families that have no source of income as people cannot go to work in these circumstances. If we don’t realize that we have to help children’s education now, then the impacts that this pandemic is causing will leave a “dent” in future generations.
In my efforts to help COVID-19, I have sewn masks to give some sort of protection to limit the spread of the virus. While my masks are not medically certified, it is important to do the best you can in order to ensure the health of others. And it is also important to keep in mind that masks are meant to prevent you from spreading the virus.
Be Kind and Stay Safe!
