Every year I am more and more impressed by the TIPS interns that are selected to go out and serve in our greater Seattle community. This year's cohort particularly blew me away with their enthusiasm, maturity, creativity, and the thoughtful activation they took into a new version of the TIPS summer internship experience. These teens jumped right in with their nonprofits, each uniquely challenged by the pandemic. As a TIPS 1998 (!) alumna, an active selection committee participant, intern mentor, and executive board member, it is an honor to support this organization - it truly cultivates incredible leadership, emphasizing how weaving in the role of service is imperative to regenerating our communities.
I hope you can join us for our virtual luncheon on October 22!
More about TIPS:
Empowering teens, developing resilient leaders.
Teens In Public Service (TIPS) hires vetted high school students to carry out paid summer internships at nonprofit organizations; empowering teens to give back to their community while developing leadership skills that will last a lifetime. TIPS bridges the gap between not-for-profit funding and teen career exploration.
With your generosity, we can raise funds to support opportunities that benefit our community by connecting charitable causes with reliable teen interns.
Every dollar raised goes towards the intern wages and administration of the TIPS Summer Internship Program. Your donation directly helps TIPS hire more teens committed to supporting their community through summer-long internships at charitable causes.
