Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be training to run a half marathon! 5k's and 10k's were good enough for me and I have fun doing them. I also didn't ever think I had the time to train for a 1/2 marathon. Planning a wedding, being in basketball season, and hanging out with family and friends I thought my time was tied up. Not until I saw that the National Multiple Sclerosis Society was partnering up with GO! St. Louis and that I had an opportunity to raise money for MS, did I decide to run a 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles). As most people know, my mom has had MS for almost 20 years. It has been apart of our lives for so long that it has become the norm with doctor appointments and the everyday struggles with living with this terrible disease. While at this time there is no cure for MS, there have been multiple breakthroughs as scientists and neurologists are determined to find a cure. In signing up for this race, I have committed to fundraising $350 or more to help those in the St. Louis area living with MS. I am asking for help from my friends, family, co-workers, or anyone willing to donate to a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Any amount makes a difference and would be greatly appreciated. Together, I know we can help those living with Multiple Sclerosis. On April 8 2018, I ask for your support and prayers as we tackle this disease and race! I would like to Finish MS!
