We are raising funds to help a family with a child affected by Cerebral Palsy by birth. Every single donation counts, and is one more step to saving his life.
Abishek was born 7 months premature in Chennai, India, and was kept in incubation for 6 months. He did not have normal development milestones, and he was born 100% visually impaired. After three surgeries, he has gained partial vision in one eye. He also has visual, learning, hearing, speech, and intellectual impairments. His biological father — a temple priest — left his family after seeing Abishek's disability. His mother has been taking care of him by herself since birth. Her only source of income is through a few hours a day of Hindi tuitions. She cannot go to full-time work because she has to pay special attention to her child. Now with the COVID-19 situation, she has received no income in the last 6 months. Unlike the U.S., there is no governmental support for the citizens in India.
1. The family is unable to afford a wheelchair until now. It is time that he gets his wheelchair so he can be free and move around without always depending on others.
2. With the condition of his eye, there is still hope to bring his sight back. With a few surgeries, there is a chance that he may gain his sight for the first time.
3. He needs a physical therapist to come to his home and help him 3 times a day, every day of the week. With the low income that the family is earning, they are not able to afford any more sessions. If this progresses, he will become even more ill and experience more pain than right now.
4. Because of the treatment and his condition, he needs to take special classes and tuition. These classes are specially tailored for someone who has difficulty retaining and storing the concepts and is visually impaired.
The list continues on with each passing day. These costs are such a burden on a single mother with no income. This non-profit organization is trying to raise money for Abishek's medical treatment, education, and continuing support. Any help is greatly appreciated. Primary Education & Poverty Elimination Incorporated 501(c)(3) is a non-profit organization and your donation is tax-deductible
Please don't hesitate. 100% of the donation reaches the family in need.
